Capturing a $1.5 Trillion Market Opportunity
Great insurance is essential, but outdated systems make it costly and complex, often leaving people and businesses with inadequate coverage—especially for lower-cost policies like sports registration protection, event host liability and pet insurance. Vertical Insure solves this by embedding customized insurance directly into the software businesses already use, making coverage more targeted and accessible.
Companies can integrate Vertical Insure’s software into their checkout or customer workflows, allowing customers to purchase insurance seamlessly at the point of sale. Using real-time data, the software finds the best-fit and best-priced policy, unlocking a $1.5 Trillion market opportunity with smarter, more efficient digital insurance solutions.
Vertical Insure is an enabler to the SaaS+ business model, helping software platforms become a SaaS+ business. In addition to their core software product, SaaS+ platforms employ embedded fintech and other products as a secondary revenue model. By doing so, SaaS businesses can add new streams of revenue and build a more valuable product for their customers.
Vertical Insure is led by Co-Founder and CEO Brock Noland, a seasoned entrepreneur with deep expertise in software and big data. His experience in data-driven business models is instrumental in building Vertical Insure’s intelligent, API-first insurance platform.
Noland teamed with Justin Kaufenberg, Rally Partner and the Co-Founder/former CEO of SportsEngine, to launch the business. At SportsEngine, millions of families registered their children for youth sports, yet had no way to recover their fees in case of illness or injury. Embedding insurance at checkout solved this gap, allowing parents to insure their registration fees effortlessly and generating millions in profit overnight.
The key insight: while SportsEngine had the data to underwrite such a product, no traditional insurer was capable of analyzing that data and bringing a product to market. Vertical Insure fills this gap across industries, helping vertical SaaS platforms unlock similar opportunities.
Vertical Insure has collaborated with several Rally Tech Partners to shape strategy, join the board and recruit top executive talent. Notably, Greg Blasko joined as co-founding CTO and brings extensive experience in building scalable, API-driven architectures. And, Rick Ehrman joined as EVP of Corporate and Business Development, bringing a wealth of expertise in corporate strategy, forging strategic partnerships and driving growth.
Vertical Insure is rapidly scaling through strategic partnerships and acquisitions, securing key clients across youth sports (LeagueApps), event management (Eventeny), event ticketing (Opendate), travel (Kasa), and collectibles (Copyt). Its acquisition of Next Wave Insurance Services expanded its capabilities and market reach.
With revenue up 150% YOY and partners growing 270% from 2024 to 2025, Vertical Insure is experiencing strong early growth. It raised a $4M seed round in December 2022 (co-led by Rally Ventures and Dundee VC) and secured an additional $2M led by Greenlight Re Innovations in February 2023.
